    RIGHT! That dog is overweight a little, but does not need to be on a diet, just give it some exercise. Hip Dysplasia is caused by inheritance.

    being overweight does not cause hip dysplasia,its strictly genetic ,it can be influenced by the enviroment if the genes are present but there are no known enviromental causes of hip dysplasia

    Good job.. as a lab trainer (sporting not people tricks) I must say Please Please put that dog on a diet..he is far to overweight.
    You should be able to see the Iliac Fossa on a dog…he is too chubby..and since he is such a good dog do it for him so he doesn’t end up with Hip dysplasia when he gets older.
